       My superhero’s name is Alyza. I chose that name because I have a friend that moved and her name is Alyza. Alyza is 12 years old and is 5’6. She is Mexican and Puerto Rican. Her birthday is September 5th, 2005. Her hometown is Chicago, And she still lives in a Chicago. She has one 18 year old brother named a Christian Alas. She loves to play basketball and she also is always breaking her ankles. She wears glasses because she is really blind. She makes $0 a day, and is very nice and caring. She weighs 110 lbs.  She gets straight A’s in school and is not that intelligent. She helps people who get bullied or mistreated at school. The only talent she has is dancing. She does ballet and is on a company team for dance. She speaks English and Spanish. And she is also very funny. She makes people laugh all the time when they are sad and knows exactly what to say. She has many friends too, but not all of her classes are with them. And she is a sixth grader at Heritage Middle School.

      This embarrassing moment was when I was in 5th grade, On my teachers birthday. I was running late because I went to get her a present. When I walked in, I came in running and then everything fell. Later on that day at recess, I slipped on ice and ended up spraining my ankle. Later that day, I had made a joke of it and made everyone laugh. My teacher messaged me the next day when I stayed home from school and said exactly this: “Thank you Micelys for the present! I could not have asked for a better entrance than what you had did. Hope your foot feels better!” That next week the girls basketball had a game, and I had jut came off an injured foot. We were all going against the teachers. Me and My teacher Ms.Fischer were supposed to do tip off and I ended up winning. We  put that video in the Farewell video because obviously I won :) .

    I have a ton of goals for quarter 2. Me and Ms.Haury thought of so many because I am such a crazy kid. One of them is obviously no talking during reading because I am always talking to me friends. Writing more during writing, finishing at least 2 to 3 books per quarter, and to work even harder than last year. If I don’t reach these goals I am going to cry myself to sleep every single day. I will also maybe try and reach those goals for 3rd quarter. I also want to try and get all 3’s this quarter because it motivates me to keep trying and to keep up the hard work and effort. ANNNNNNDDDD I also wanna work on my comprehension because that isn’t my strength and I wanna make it one of my strengths this year.

 This story gonna be about turtles.   There was once a turtle. A super tiny turtle. It’s name was Jeff. He had a friend name Cubby. They were gonna race and see who would win because they had a fight on who would win at a race. “ You’re the one taking an L, not me so you shuck” Jeff told Cubby.  On September 5th, 1980, they went to race at a park for turtles. “On three” they both yelled. “1 2 3” and then they started. Of course they went as slow as possible. Most people stopped to watch. Some people started chanting and yelling. Cubby was super, super close to the end with Jeff being w few feet behind. But then all of a sudden, Cubby tripped and landed on his shell. Then Jeff started going faster and the crowd got so much louder. As in crowd I mean only 5 to 8 people. Finally Jeff won and Cubby was trying to get up.   FIN

  What I Think “Gratitude” Means: I think gratitude means to have a positive attitude about something or to show someone you are thankful for them. What It Actually Means:  the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. "she expressed her gratitude to the committee for their support"  One Person I am Thankful for is my mom because she takes amazing care of me and she makes amazing food too. Her birthday is tomorrow on the 14th and I’m gonna give her one thing. My presence. I’m way easier to take care of than my annoying 18 year old brother. He always complains and is lazy too. He is also very, very mean to me. My mommy has gone through so much and still takes amazing care of me and my brother. She makes us food, gets us whatever we need, and she is also the reason why me and my brother have what we have. I wub me madre very much.

   I like turtles. Me and my friend have a special way of spelling it though. We spell it “turtlz” My friend actually has a turtle but I don’t really see it often because I don’t see my friend often. She moved in 3rd grade. Me and her were really close too. Me and her only text and FaceTime.   My favorite city would have to be Chicago. I have had so many fun and amazing memories. Last year the whole fifth grade went to Navy Pier for the whole day! We went on a boat ride and on the Ferris wheel. We also got to eat there and walk around with who ever. I really wanted to spend it with my teacher Ms.Fischer. All day her and me other friends hung out. My favorite part is when my teacher got on the Ferris wheel with us and she was really scared, since she said that out loud....I decided to start shaking the cart because why not.
